Ombre Nails: Mix the Colors Yourself

I love the look of ombre nails and have been wanting to try it out for some time but honestly I didn't feel like buying five different shades of one color. Well problem solved. I already had a pretty shade of blue and white polish at home so all I had to do was buy black and let the painter in me have fun mixing colors.

I love the way it turned out and I even think it would look great with the original color as the darkest and only adding white until you get a pretty pastel, so if you don't have black...don't worry about it, you can still try ombre with only two polishes.

now this post is extremely helpful! You've just solved a problem that I've had for quite some time, too ;) (well, I could have had that idea as well ....^^)

Your nails turned out great and blue is obviously a colour that wonderfully suits you, so well done!

Omgsh, this is such a great idea! Can't believe I didn't think of this myself. Haha, I've always thought how I didn't have the right different shades of a color to do this kind of ombre nail. Thanks for sharing the idea with us :)

That´s a really good idea, but didn´t it dry too fast, because it´s not in the bottle?

@Daria if you poured a bunch of polish at one time and tried to work from that to mix all of the colors it probably would dry up within a few minutes.
I did each color once at a time so as soon as I got the color I wanted I immediately applied it to my nail so I had no problem. Hope this helps.

OH they look fantastic! Way to go girl, that is such a good idea. I was actually trying to do the ombre on my nails last night. It ended in lots of nail polish remover.
